Two narrow defeats for Paignton at Okehampton

PAIGNTON U7s tasted defeat on their travels as they went down twice away at Okehampton.

The youngsters lost the first game 8-6, with tries coming from Corey Dowden (2) Bobby Wigginton (2), Ethan Chadwick and Kyle Bullock.

The second game was a much closer affair, but it was Okehampton who were once again victorious as they came out on top in a 6-5 scoreline.

Tries in the second game were scored by Oliver Stoneman (2), Dowden (1), Chadwick and man-of-the-match Wigginton.

BRIXHAM U7s lost twice against visiting Salcombe.

The first game was won 45-35, with the second game 20-15 in favour of Salcombe.

Brixham scorers were Marsden Criddle, who scored five tries in the fixture, with Luke Noakes (3), Charlie Mudge and Zach Harris also scoring.

TORQUAY U7s shared the spoils with Stonehouse in two entertaining contests.

The first game ended 35-30 in favour of Torquay. Owen-Lee Provins (4). Lewis Crocker, Callum Crocker, Joe Snape were the try scorers for the Tics, who tagged superbly and defended with great discipline to gain the victory.

A new Torquay side came out to contest the second match which unfortunately went the way of Stonehouse. Victor Yeo (3) and Esme Hall were Torquay’s try scorers in a 45-20 defeat.
